About Us
We've Been on Both Sides of the Data Room.
Navaris was born from frustration - the kind you only get after spending hundreds of hours in data rooms, on both sides of the table.
Our Story
Between us, we've raised over £25 million in start-up funding, supported multiple acquisitions as sellers, conducted due diligence on dozens of acquisitions, and invested in early-stage startups through angel networks and venture funds.
Every single time, the data room was painful.
As founders raising capital, we scrambled to assemble documents at the last minute, reconciled cap tables that didn't match our 409As, and answered the same basic investor questions over and over. As acquirers and investors, we waded through disorganized folders, chased founders for missing documents, and flagged inconsistencies that should have been caught months earlier.
We kept thinking: there has to be a better way.
In 2025, we decided to build it.
Navaris is the data room we wished existed - one that builds itself from your documents, stays current through integrations, and answers investor questions automatically. No questionnaires. No manual updates. No scrambling when a term sheet lands.
Navaris takes care of admin and lets you focus on where you add the most value - growing the businesses and closing your round.
The Team
Ross Flew
Co-Founder & CEO
Ross is a scale-up specialist who has helped technology startups grow from inception through Series A and beyond.
He joined RHEON Labs as a founding team member when it was just four people. Over seven years, he helped scale the business to 45+ employees, raised over £18 million across Seed and Series A rounds, and established commercial operations across five continents. He built the pitch decks, created the financial models, and assembled the data rooms.
Now, he sits on the other side of the table. As Investment Director at AI Venture Flows, a UK-based pre-seed SEIS fund, he reviews early-stage AI companies and conducts commercial due diligence. He sees firsthand which founders are prepared - and which aren't.
Ross is completing an Executive MBA at Warwick Business School, where his research examines differences in venture capital approaches between the UK and USA.
"I've raised millions in funding and now I invest in the next generation of founders. The difference between a smooth raise and a painful one almost always comes down to preparation. Navaris makes that preparation automatic."
Paul Flew
Co-Founder & CTO
Paul is a serial technical entrepreneur who has built and sold companies across two decades.
He co-founded Loqate, a location intelligence platform, and served as CTO through its acquisition by GBG plc in 2015. Before that, he helped build Global Address from startup to acquisition by Harte-Hanks in 2006. At GBG, as Head of Technology, leading cloud transformation and - critically - running technical due diligence on the company's acquisitions.
He's been on both sides of the data room more times than he can count: as a founder being acquired, as an executive acquiring others, and as an angel investor reviewing early-stage deals through Hustle Fund's Angel Squad.
"I've spent months of my life in data rooms - building them, reviewing them, finding the gaps that almost killed deals. Navaris is everything I learned about what actually matters, built into software."
Why We Built Navaris
The Founder Problem
Every time we raised capital, we faced the same fire drill:
- Hunting for documents scattered across Google Drive, email, and Dropbox
- Reconciling a cap table that hadn't been updated in months
- Discovering our pitch deck numbers didn't match our financials or CRM
- Answering "What's your ARR?" for the fifteenth time
- Watching deal momentum die while we scrambled to find a missing IP assignment
We were building companies. We didn't have time to maintain a data room. But every raise demanded one.
The Investor Problem
On the other side, reviewing deals as investors, we saw the same patterns:
- Data rooms that were clearly assembled the night before
- Numbers that didn't match between documents
- Key documents missing entirely
- Founders who couldn't answer basic questions about their own documents
- Weeks of delay while founders "got back to us" on simple requests
The prepared founders closed quickly. The unprepared ones often didn't close at all.
The Solution
We built Navaris to solve both problems at once.
For founders: Link your documents and tools, and your data room builds itself. Carta syncs your cap table. QuickBooks syncs your financials. Our AI extracts company information from your pitch deck. You stay focused on your business while your data room stays current.
For investors: When founders use Navaris, you get organized, consistent, and current information. No more chasing documents. No more reconciling conflicting numbers. Just the data you need to make a decision.
